FORTRENN

Fortrenn was Build as a holiday home in 1903 in the Arts and Crafts style, and has retained most of its characterful original features. It has been tastefully furnished to complement this. The house occupies an elevated position and the southerly aspect affords spectacular views over the loch both from the rooms and from the gardens, with each room soaking up a view over Loch Earn to the surrounding hills. The outlook is simply beautiful, not just in the summer, but in autumn and winter too. The light on the water is constantly changing. Some days, looking towards the west when the sun is setting, you will see for yourselves why it is that we and our forefathers have always believed that heaven is somewhere just beyond the sky.

Take the binoculars and just sit on the verandah to get a closer look at the osprey diving, or take the steps down to the garden and garden house. A pathway leads to the Lochside. access your own foreshore and observe the continuously changing colours on the Loch. Or on the lower garden level relax in total privacy, or rustle up a BBQ on the terrace Just in case the rain should come on we have provided oodles of books to curl up with escape totally into the privacy of the book lined summer house
